Environmental Policy

As an actor in the travel industry in outdoor and nature experiences, we are very aware that we are at the same time dependent on untouched and wild nature as a resource, while making it less untouched when we visit it. Therefore, we have made a concrete environmental policy that will act as a guideline through all our work, which our tour guides also actively make use of on a trip, and that we wish to inspire you with as well.

All our tours aim to take you out and show off beautiful natural areas through various activities. We believe ourselves to be better people after such tours, as we both benefit from natural experiences physically and mentally, but also because it gives us reasons for, and strengthen us in our work preserving this type of nature and thus experiences. Therefore, we always focus on reducing our impressions, both locally where we travel, but also to contribute in everyday life to a global perspective in relation to climate change.

We are only a small company, but we believe that we should all contribute a little each day and thereby help to achieve something greater. We must all do something to reverse the trend. We try both in the office during the administrative work, but also largely on our trips to take environmentally responsible choices, such as transportation, food, equipment and group sizes.

Our environmental measures

We have deliberately chosen to focus only on trips in Scandinavia and in the Nordic enviroment, and wishes that it should be possible to offer trips that can be reached and carried out without air travel. Therefore, we do something extra in our travel plans to visualize and help find bus and train transportation solutions.

  • We make sure to buy locally and after the season as much as possible, as well as using less meat and more vegetables.
  • We offer equipment rental to help reduce the consumption curve while giving people the best experiences using the right equipment of high quality.
  • We only move in smaller groups to minimize our physical footprints as we move through nature, and to give everyone the most natural experience.

We work concretely with the seven “Leave no Trace” principles, and teach them on all our tours, in how we practically make use of these principles and why it is necessary for all of us to be aware of the traces we leave when we move travel in nature.

  • Plan ahead and prepare
  • Travel and camp on durable surfaces
  • Dispose of waste properly
  • Leave what you find
  • Minimize campfire impacts
  • Respect wildlife
  • Be considerate of other visitors

We hope you will help us make a difference, by helping us as a participant on our tours, to go in front as the good example, and by telling us how you think we can improve.
