First timer or experienced skier, this backcountry-skiing expedition trip presents an unforgettable experience for any adventure-minded nature lover. Every day brings new scenery as you’ll move through the desolate winter landscape in and around the majestic Jotunheimen National Park.
You’ll transport everything you need in pulks, which is easy to use for packing when you have a lot of weight. This gives you an advantage when you would like to experience the winter environment, with both camp life and tent nights in minus degrees, since you’ll be able to bring extra thick clothing etc. It is a wonderful experience to spend the night in a tent on a snow covered mountain. It provides more options for route choices when you are not tied to cabins, and it also provides greater flexibility to stop and camp when the day has been long enough.
The trip requires no winter or skiing experience, but a big sense of adventure and some grit. A reasonable level of fitness is necessary and some outdoor experience is helpful.
